LECTURE:
In this weeks lecture we went through the unit outline for UPC0004, future assessments and what is expected of us. We were shown how to use blackboard, SIMO and the ECU homepage. Wikepedia is NOT a reference! We were shown what a blog looks like. PowerPoint and Word will become very useful throughout our time at uni.
TUTORIAL:
In today's workshop we created our own blog, then created an image shack account. My blog account is lizbotha.blogspot.com. I prefer to use Photo bucket as I already have an account with them and I am familiar with the layout. My student email is ebotha@student.ecu.edu.au and I will be using this very often to log onto blackboard and check all announcements as well as my e-mails.
READING 1: "PC Lube and Tune"
PC Lube and Tune supply usable introductions, tutorials, and education on technical subjects to the large audience of computer users. There are a number of articles available on a many different subjects related to computers and how to use it. I think this is very useful and helpful for computer users who wish to find out more about something they may not understand or know how to use.
READING 2: "How Stuff Works"
This article focuses on desktop computers and their attributes. You can learn about PCs, DNA computers, Internet TV and even how to build a computer. I enjoyed watching the video about what's inside your computer.
